Privacy policy
Short, because there isn't much to disclose. Last updated 6 July 2026.
What we collect
If you submit a form on this site, we collect your email address and, if you give one, your first name. That's the lot.
We also run product analytics on the site — page views and the like — through PostHog (EU). By default it's cookieless and forgets you between visits. If you allow storage (the small card in the corner, or the tickbox on a form), we keep one first-party analytics id so your return visits count as one visitor. Either way it stays anonymous unless you submit a form: only then, and only because you ticked the box to agree, do we attach your email and first name so the visit and the contact are one person. No third-party cookies and no cross-site tracking in any case.
Cookies & storage
Until you allow storage, this site writes nothing to your browser. If you decline, we store exactly one value — your decision — so we don't ask again.
If you allow storage, three things appear, all first-party: your decision (hs_consent, localStorage), a PostHog analytics id (localStorage plus a cookie on .hogsend.com so the id survives across our subdomains), and a Hogsend id for the in-page notification demo (hs_anon_id, localStorage). None of them are readable by anyone but us.
If you sign up, we additionally remember that you did (hs-demo-email and hs-demo-name, localStorage) so the site doesn't ask you to sign up twice.
You can withdraw at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer — withdrawal deletes the stored ids on the spot and the site goes back to cookieless.
What we do with it
Your email address gets you the welcome journey you asked for. Product notes are a separate list you can opt into from the preference centre linked in every email — we never add you to it ourselves.
Every email we send carries a one-click unsubscribe and a link to a preference centre. Both work immediately and neither asks why.
Where it lives
A few processors handle data on our behalf: Resend delivers email (EU region). Railway hosts the application. Cloudflare handles DNS and inbound email. PostHog EU stores the analytics — anonymous by default, plus your email and first name once you submit a form and agree.
That's the full list. If it changes, this page changes.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@hogsend.com and it gets handled.
Unsubscribing doesn't need an email to anyone — the link in every message does it on the spot.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't use third-party ad tech. The site is cookieless until you say otherwise — the card in the corner asks once, declining changes nothing, and everything works the same either way. The one further consent we ask for is the tickbox on the form: it covers sending your email and first name to PostHog so your visit and your contact are the same person.
